About
In Flat Out - Chariot Challenge teams build a full scale Roman or Celtic chariot. Working from supplied plans, teams turn a ‘flat-pack’ kit of materials into the ultimate cardboard racing vehicle - machine and human-power working in harmony. The challenge concludes with a race, where the teams pit their chariots against each other in a test of speed and skill, or a gladiator-themed parade in an atmosphere to rival that of the Circus Maximus.
Learning Outcomes
Chariot Challenge requires effective communication, collaboration and team dynamics to construct a chariot. Teams need to plan carefully and work as together to succeed in reaching their goal within the limited time frame. Teams use creativity and artistic flair to decorate their chariot so it stands out. The final race fuels healthy competitive spirit. Flat Out - Chariot Challenge is a fun shared experience that will be reflected on long after the event.
Physical Distancing
This activity can been designed to adhere to physical distancing guidelines. We modify the program to avoid game materials and handouts that need to be passed between participants. And, avoid anything where you have to get too close! Our skilled facilitators will be there to guide your participants throughout the experience, ensuring that as well as keeping to social distancing protocol each participant is engaged and having an enjoyable learning experience.
